Multi-Media Mash Up - Eve Wolf
(Multi-Media (Spring 2018))

Would you like to learn how to be more innovative in your concert programming? In this course, students will design their own multi-media/multi-disciplinary “mash up” programs that link solo, chamber, and vocal music to the spoken word, dance, film, food, video design, costume and fashion, and the visual arts. Students will also study the history of multi-media and interdisciplinary combinations of music and the other arts, including some of the most famous historical partnerships – Da Ponte and Mozart; Balanchine and Stravinsky; Merce Cunningham and John Cage; Cocteau and Satie; Fellini and Nino Rota; and more. Finally, students will be exposed to a wide array of multi-media/multi-disciplinary projects that are currently taking place nationally and internationally.
